Offer Description The candidate will be expected to conduct research in theoretical particle physics related to phenomenology beyond the Standard Model, collider physics, and dark matter. The selected candidate will be hosted at the Laboratoire de Physique Théorique et Hautes Énergies (LPTHE) at Sorbonne Université in the centre of Paris (France). The position is supported by the ANR project DMwithLLPatLHC, that involves Benjamin Fuks and Mark Goodsell. The contract will need to be established in the fall of 2024 and will last for one year.
The candidate will be expected to conduct research, publish original results, and present them at national and international conferences and workshops. Participation in the local life of the laboratory and interactions with the Parisian and French particle physics community are expected.
The Laboratoire de Physique Théorique et Hautes Énergies (LPTHE) in Paris has a strong team of researchers working on theoretical particle physics and cosmology. It currently includes 7 permanent members, 4 postdoctoral researchers, and 4 PhD students. The team's activities encompass perturbative quantum chromodynamics, phenomenology beyond the Standard Model, astroparticle physics, and cosmology.
We are seeking candidates with research interests that include physics beyond the Standard Model, collider physics, and dark matter. The selected candidate must have obtained their PhD before the start of the contract.
