The Mines-Télécom Institute (IMT) is a public scientific, cultural, and professional establishment (EPSCP) under the supervision of the ministers of industry and digital technology. Leading group of engineering schools in France, it gathers 11 public engineering schools, training 13,500 engineers and doctors. IMT employs 4,500 people and has an annual budget of €400 million, 40% of which is its own resources.

The Mines Alès Materials Center (C2MA) has three research teams: the PCH "Composite and Hybrid Polymers" unit, the DMS "Sustainability of Eco-Materials and Structures" team, and the RIME "Research on the Interactions of Materials with their Environment" team.
The Material Research Center of Mines Alès (C2MA) focuses on the development of materials for transport, building, and packaging industries, emphasizing bio-based and recycled materials. The candidate for the proposed CIFRE thesis will work with members of the C2MA teams: the Hybrid Polymers and Composites (PCH) team and the Eco-Sustainability of Materials and Structures (DMS) team.
The opened position is part of a European project (funded by the CLEANH2 project) called ECOHYDRO, aiming to contribute to hydrogen energy representing 24% of Europe's energy by 2050. The candidate will work on developing storage solutions, particularly focusing on organic matrix composites and their recycling processes.
The candidate should have a strong interest in using and developing innovative experimental methods and will be expected to collaborate closely with project partners, which will involve travel in France and abroad. Fluency in English is required.
The candidate must hold a PhD in mechanics and engineering or in the physico-chemistry of polymer and composite materials, with general knowledge in the development and characterization of composite materials. Knowledge and experience in the circularity of composite materials is a plus.
The candidate will be encouraged to engage in scientific production (writing publications in top-tier journals, delivering oral presentations, etc.) and will be integrated into a large-scale European project.

Eligibility criteria: The position offered by IMT Mines Alès is a fixed-term, full-time contract for 18 months, governed by the management framework of the Institut Mines-Télécom, under the role P, Post-Doctoral Researcher, category II.
