The postdoctoral researcher will carry out a survey on the management of major scientific facilities and their place in French scientific policies, focusing on facilities located in 'isolated environments', particularly in French overseas territories or foreign countries. Research will explore the tension between integration into French research policies and the particularities of their operation in marginal territories.
This Post-doc is part of the SciOUTPOSTS project (https://scioutpost.hypotheses.org/), funded by the ANR (2023-2027) and coordinated by David Dumoulin Kervran. SciOUTPOSTS brings together sociologists of science and labor to empirically test the notion of the 'outpost of science'.
