Platform Ops Engineer - Lisbon Capgemini Portugal is currently looking for a Platform Ops Engineer to join one of the world's most prestigious and innovative companies in the luxury industry.

Their Lisbon teams will be an extension of its central Group Platforms teams and will be fully integrated in the core technology workforce.

Responsibilities Platform Monitoring and Maintenance: - Lead the efforts to monitor and maintain the health of our digital platforms.
- Proactively identify potential issues and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Conduct regular health checks, analyze system logs, and stay ahead of performance bottlenecks will be integral to ensuring optimal platform performance.
-Address immediate issues ( root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences ).
Performance Optimization and Capacity Planning: - Collaborate with development teams to fine-tune configurations, conduct or support performance testing.
- Implement scalability measures to ensure the platform can handle current and future demands.
Security Compliance and Vulnerability Management: - Work closely with the security team to ensure compliance with industry standards and group policy.
- Conduct of support regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement patches and updates to safeguard against potential threats.
Automation and Orchestration : DevOps - Drive the automation and orchestration efforts within the platform scope.
- Leveraging scripting languages and orchestration tools, you will automate repetitive tasks, streamline workflows, and contribute to the development of a self-healing and self-scaling infrastructure.
Collaboration with Development and DevOps Teams: - Work closely with development teams, providing operational insights during the entire development life cycle.
- Collect feedback and new requirements from development teams to add features into the platforms and increase user's satisfaction.
Documentation and Knowledge Management: - Your role includes maintaining comprehensive documentation related to platform configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- You will establish and promote knowledge-sharing practices within the team, contributing to the overall skill development and proficiency of team members.

Academic Background Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Skills & Experience Extensive experience (3+ years) in platform operations or a similar role.
Profound understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, Lua ) and automation frameworks.
Experience with advanced monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack, Datadog).
In-depth knowledge of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Proven SSDLC proficiency (experience with Gitlab CI, Vault, JFrog, is a plus).
Experience with API management tools (Kong, Solace).
Experience with IPass solutions (Boomi, SAP CPI, Informatica Cloud, MuleSoft, other...).
Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or similiar are a plus.
Fluent English required.
Desired Personal Skills Proven track record in incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.
Strategic mindset with experience in capacity planning and performance optimization.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Comfortable working in an agile context (Scrum, Safe, other..) Administrator, or similar are a plus.
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage effective working relationships within an organization and across multiple localizations.
