Description PROFILE: Patch Manager Project information / tasks: Responsible for overseeing and managing the patching process within an organization's IT infrastructure.
This role involves planning, coordinating, and ensuring the timely deployment of software updates, security patches, and fixes across various systems, applications, and devices.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive patch management strategy and policy.
• Prioritize and schedule patch deployments based on the criticality and impact of updates • Work closely with IT operations, security, and application teams to align patch management processes with organizational goals.
• Communicate patch management plans, schedules, and updates to relevant stakeholders • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies related to patch management.
• Generate and maintain documentation and reports on patching activities, compliance status, and system health.
Must Have: • Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
and application patching.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and vulnerability management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and project management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice to have: • Experience with patch management tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM, Ivanti, etc.)
