Platform Engineer

Job Title: Platform Engineer (Linux, AWS) - E-commerce Location: Remote - Portugal Job Overview: Our partner, a leader in the Telecommunications sector, is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to support the development of innovative applications. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain infrastructure as code on AWS, ensuring robust and scalable systems.
- Manage and optimize Linux environments, ensuring smooth system operations.
- Design and implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines using tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins.
- Write and maintain scripts in Python, Perl, and Bash for various automation and configuration needs.
- Automate tasks using configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, or Ansible).
- Utilize containerization tools like Docker to improve scalability and deployment efficiency.
- Collaborate within an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Qualifications: - Proven experience in Linux operating systems and environments.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS, including infrastructure as code (Terraform), EC2, and ECS/Fargate.
- 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins.
- 5+ years of experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl, and Bash.
- Proficiency in automation tools (Puppet, Chef, or Ansible).
- Strong understanding of containerization with Docker.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- AWS certifications are a plus.
