We are looking for a well-qualified and talented teacher of Physics to join our team in August 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspire and Motivate: Build trust and confidence with students, colleagues, and parents, encouraging student engagement and enthusiasm for learning physics.
Deliver Effective Instruction: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP Physics curricula, ensuring student progress and understanding of key concepts.
Individual Learning Support: Target individual learning needs by differentiating instruction and providing additional support where necessary, helping all students achieve their potential.
Classroom Management: Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline, fostering a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
Utilize Assessments: Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, inform teaching adjustments, and ensure students meet academic targets.
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Physics curriculum, incorporating innovative teaching practices and resources to enhance student learning experiences.
Pastoral Care: Promote the well-being of students by addressing academic and personal challenges, collaborating with the school's well-being team and communicating effectively with parents.
Participation in School Life: Support the school's extracurricular programs, including trips and student-led projects, and contribute to whole-school learning initiatives.
Continuous Improvement: Engage in professional development to stay current with best teaching practices and apply new learning to improve teaching effectiveness.
School Community Contribution: Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to the school's development plans, and actively support the school's ethos, values, and broader educational goals.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: A relevant degree in Physics or a related field, with a valid teaching qualification (such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level, with expertise in GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP curricula.
Strong classroom management skills, ensuring high standards of behaviour and fostering a safe, respectful learning environment.
Ability to differentiate instruction, meeting the individual learning needs of students with varying abilities.
Proficiency in using modern technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Commitment to continuous professional development, staying updated with current teaching practices and curriculum developments.
A collaborative mindset, working effectively within a team and contributing to whole-school improvement initiatives.
Passion for extracurricular activities, participating in trips and projects that support student engagement and enrichment beyond the classroom.
