We are part of the global Merkle brand, the largest brand within the dentsu group, who shares with us a network of over 66,000 passionate individuals in 146 countries.Job DescriptionKey responsibilities:Works independently with a broader overview on the projectParticipates in communications with partners and clients, when neededUnderstands and follows the release processes in the companyParticipates in requirements analysis, development, unit testing and documentationWrites quality code to fit unique customer needs and configurationsTroubleshoots and debugs (with some guidance from senior team members if needed)Achieves better understanding of the company platform and processes and suggests improvementsQualificationsWhat we are looking for:Academic background in IT or equivalent; At least 4 years of experience with PHP; Strong working experience and knowledge with PHP from 7.3 to 8.1; Clear understanding of OOP, Design Patterns and anti-patterns, and SOLID principles; Working experience with relational Databases DBMS; A good understanding of project tools (Atlassian OR git/svn ...) is required; Experienced with testinglayers (unit, integration, and functional testing); Knowledge in algorithms and distributed systems; Proficiency in English;Nice to have:Experience with Ecom solutions such as Magento, Prestashop, CS-Cart, xCart OR any PHP CMS as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, etc; Knowledge in JavaScript (ES6) is a plus; Experience with services/microservices oriented architecture, ideally in an e-commerce scope; Familiar with SCRUM methodology.We do not sponsor work visa.For those who don't have Portuguese documents (NIF and NISS), we suggest you to search for more information at local country Social Security entities, as well as on SEF (Serviços Estrangeiros e Fronteiras), for possible roles in Merkle Portugal
