PhD Scientific Researcher Recruitment: FCiências.ID, based in Portugal, is seeking a highly motivated PhD Scientific Researcher for an initial stage research position in the field of biological sciences, specifically in environmental science with a focus on ecology and computer science with expertise in modeling tools. The position involves contributing to the CoralINT project, developing an Integrated Niche Theory for predicting ecosystem compositional changes and testing it with coral reef data.
FCiências.ID is seeking applicants with a PhD in Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
The position requires specialized quantitative skills and/or expertise in Theoretical Ecology, Evolution, Statistics, Data Science, or Coral Reef Ecology.
Portuguese nationals as well as foreign and stateless persons can apply.
The contract is indefinite and fixed-term, governed by Portuguese labor laws.
The selected candidate will work on developing an Integrated Niche Theory and testing it with coral reef data.
The monthly salary ranges from €2,294.95 to €3,170.28, depending on experience.

Job Description: The selected candidate will participate in the CoralINT project, conducting field trips for data collection, modeling and analyzing structural, environmental, functional, and compositional data, participating in project meetings, publishing results in scientific journals, supervising students, and engaging in dissemination activities.
