Job Summary Position responsible for providing proficient perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation. Position functions as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures. Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory; uses knowledge/expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff.
Job DescriptionPedi CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist, Nights *Full time; 9pm-7am, Tuesday-Friday or 7p-7a Wednesday-Friday *CST and BLS required *2+ years of CV experience required (Adult or Pedi) This position is located at Children's Memorial Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
Licenses/Certifications: Certified in Basic Life Support and current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Experience / Knowledge / Skills: New Grad Surg Tech I =1 yearSurg Tech II = 2-4 yearsSurg Tech III = 5+ yearsDemonstrates commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process by integrating our culture in all internal and external customer interactions; delivers on our brand promise of "Advancing health.
