Job DescriptionThe PositionThe Payroll Specialist International is a professional responsible for processing all aspects of payroll for a selection of European countries within Organon. The Payroll Specialist reports to the Payroll Lead EUCAN, joining a team of peers based throughout the region. The International Payroll Specialist will support the structure of the payroll function and the way Payroll services are delivered. Furthermore, he/she will play an important role in providing significant value to the organization by ensuring state-of-the-art Payroll processing, operations excellence, regulatory compliance, while acting as a liaison to multiple stakeholders.For all activities, the Payroll Specialist demonstrates a continuous improvement mind-set to have issues solved at root cause as well as experience and a passion for delivering successful results with an inclusive team ethic.ResponsibilitiesTimely processing of the payrolls for multiple countries.Assesses the personnel and salary changes provided for accuracy and workability in terms of collective bargaining, law, and regulations.Is aware of developments in the field and advises on changes in collective agreements and legislation and regulations (social security, tax, and tax legislation) and supports in the implementation of new regulations.Processing the payroll tax return, the connections, tax returns, and payments. Also controls on taxes and social security contributions and the connection with the financial administration.Expats and commuters processing, consultation on international remuneration with the Global Mobility team.Contribute to the development, implementation, and execution of payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls.Respond to all internal and external inquiries on payroll-related issues, social insurance, and taxation.Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including the account reconciliations of payroll-related balances.Prepare periodic metrics reports regarding issues such as department efficiency and volumes.Contribute toward process improvement efforts to standardize Payroll processes, leverage best practices, and reduce complexity.Collaborate closely with all relevant parties, i.e., HR Service Delivery organization, HRBPs, and HR Center of Excellences, etc.Participation in projects and working groups.Required Education, Experience, and SkillsA relevant degree in finance, business, or accounting or another relevant Payroll qualification; in lieu of a degree, the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.At least 5 years of experience in a complex multinational business environment, with a focus on multi-country Payroll.Knowledge of all aspects of Payroll – including equity-based compensation, Expats, Commuters, and Employee Share Purchase plans.Up to date with the latest developments in Payroll.Demonstrated ability to work independently within an international remote team.Excellent planning and organizational skills, to balance and prioritize work.Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, strong personal integrity.Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate relevant information to all levels of the organization.Fluent in English (written and spoken).Preferred Education, Experience, and SkillsFluent in English (written and spoken), other European languages.Who We Are:Organon delivers ingenious health solutions that enable people to live their best lives.
