Global Business Services (GBS) develops, maintains and implements standardized transactional processes across Bose, to be delivered from our Lisbon, Portugal Business Services Center (BSC) and supported across other Bose offices worldwide. By closely aligning with internal customers and by partnering with the BSC, GBS manages the delivery of services to achieve our internal business needs by driving efficiencies and effectiveness.

Key competencies: Attention to Detail, Remote Teaming, Problem Solving, Resourcefulness, Business Process & Technology Acumen, Continuous Improvement, Strong Communication skills. Key Objectives & Accountabilities: The Payroll Specialist is part of the Bose GBS team, reporting to the Supervisor of Global Payroll Operations. Main areas of responsibility: Support Global Payroll for both the in country and external Payroll Providers; Document and update payroll procedures as required & work with other teams to continuously improve, appropriately document and effectively follow work processes; Learn payroll procedures for countries where a backup is required; Ensure proper reporting as per legal and/or business needs; Identify and implement improvements to the process; Support the team with the different projects.
Education and Experience Requirements: Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration; Experience with payroll in Portugal; Fluency English, other language skills will be considered a plus; Background in an administrative position working to strictly adhered deadlines; Essential: accuracy; attention to detail; organization; analytical skills; flexibility to meet the demands of multiple processes, strict deadline activity; Must be customer-focused and comfortable working with a group of diverse people; Strong excel and Windows skills (will have to analyze reports, search and track documentation); Understanding of payroll requirements, laws, and regulations for employees working in different locations; Proven track record of driving process improvement; Experience working in a Shared Services/Business Services environment will be considered a plus.
