Payroll Specialist

Joom's offices are located in Latvia, China, Hong Kong, the USA, Germany, Brazil, and Portugal Now we are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our global team at our headquarter in Lisbon. Responsibilities Standardise payroll process across for processing, accounting & payments Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings and company deductions Ensure delivery of net pay, 3rd party payments (such as social security, benefits contributions, pension etc.) or payroll funding as required Interact and coordinate with government agencies such as social insurance agencies, financial authorities, labor agency or others as required for payroll related matters Archive and keep up to date payroll records and reconciliation reports after each payroll run Perform quarterly accounts reconciliations and year-end activities Support all payroll related audits Ensure compliance to national legislation, internal controls and guidelines Support for payroll forecasting and budgeting Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with a thorough understanding of accounting standards and principles in Portugal Proficiency in using accounting software and financial systems Proficiency in Excel Fluent Portuguese and English Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Preferred Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) We are offering Flexible working hours and 22 days of paid annual leave Extended health insurance for the employees and their families, including dental care coverage 100% paid sick leaves Personal development: professional events, workshops, English classes, corporate library Daily meal allowance Annual team retreats #J-18808-Ljbffr
