.Squarespace is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join the Payroll function of our growing company. You will work on our Finance team and partner with People Operations and Legal. The Finance Team builds compliant processes that ensure seamless support of our growing organization. As the next member of our team, your work will support this through the preparation, distribution, and reporting of our payroll.This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office. You will report to the Head of Global Payroll & Compliance.You'll Get To...Provide accurate and timely payroll processing for a 1,800+ growing global workforce located in the US, Ireland, Australia, UK, Portugal and the NetherlandsManage and format complex excel/Google spreadsheets for upload into multiple payroll systems.Process payroll checklists, audits and reconciliations and resolve all discrepancies before submission of final payrollFacilitate processing of special transactions such as off cycle payments, equity, retroactive pay, garnishments, and other statutory deductionsReconcile quarterly and annual reports to ensure accurate entry of all compensation transactionsHelp audit employee records in HRIS Workday & payroll systems, in partnership with People and Finance teams, to ensure they are accurate and completeAnswer employee inquiriesAssist in 401(k) audits, balancing and fundingCoordinate with Accounting team to provide pay period and month end close activities and requestsPartner with Payroll Manager and supporting departments to help with opportunities to test and automate current processes that promote efficiency and streamlining payroll processesPerform other tasks and special projects as assigned or as responsibilities dictateWho We're Looking ForMinimum 3 years experience processing end-to-end payroll at a small to mid sized global organizationExperience in US federal, state, and local labor laws, payroll tax requirements, payroll regulations and industry changes that affect payroll operationsGlobal payroll processing experience and taxation knowledge preferably in Ireland and Australia
