Do you want to join the creation and development of the new manufacturing for Continence Care segment within Coloplast?
As an Operations Technical Manager, you will play a key role in the definition of the technical department processes and systems for the Portuguese plant and work in close collaboration with our headquarters and plants abroad.
You will also have a key role in the ramp-up and transfer of the plant, including training of technicians and engineers in the technologies and lines to be transferred.
Responsibilities: Learn all the relevant processes related to maintenance and technical support of the production; Work in close relation with other sites to facilitate knowledge transfer, preparing and assuring the correct training of the team members; Ramp up the maintenance and production support engineering teams; Define all the preventive maintenance plans, with the support of the sending site, commissioning team, and machine suppliers; Support the machines installation, working closely with ramp-up teams and global support teams; Participate actively in the planning and execution of capacity build-up and transfer programs; Technical supervision of all the equipment in production; Responsible for the planning and fulfillment of the preventive maintenance activities; Support the shop floor teams on problem-solving and failure identification, involving when needed, corporate functions and/or suppliers; Support validation tasks related to machines and processes: maintenance instructions, operations instructions, etc; Define and own the spare part management process; Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the production processes; Participate in the global process of machine definition, providing inputs for the improvements of machines on newer versions; Willing to provide support off-hours when a problem is escalated; Manage the technical team, which includes technicians and production support engineers, assuring the correct level of technical skills of the elements. Minimum Requirements: Relevant degree in Engineering (B. Sc.
or higher); Knowledge of maintenance organization and relevant KPIs; Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance area or engineering role, in a leadership position; Knowledge of ERP "way of work" (Oracle E1 is a plus); Ability to support high volume manufacturing operations; Extensive knowledge of relevant software applications (e.g., MS Office, Power BI); High level proficiency in oral and written English; Good communication skills and ability to lead a team.
