We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Operations Coordinator to join Lifthium's Technology Center in Coimbra. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our laboratory and operations teams. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, coordinating project activities, and facilitating communication across teams. You will work closely with the scale-up team, HSE, Engineering, and Project teams to support innovative projects and drive operational excellence.
What will you do:
Team Management: Oversee and manage the Lab Team and Operations Team, ensuring alignment with R&D objectives.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture.
Ensure clear communication and coordination between areas.
Organize the team's workflows and schedules.
Coordinate technical training for the team members.
Operational Coordination: Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity and optimize workflows.
Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment and facilities are in optimal condition. Manage resources, including laboratory equipment and supplies.
Monitor project timelines and deliverables, ensuring all activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate with HSE to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Project Management: Assist in planning and executing R&D projects, tracking progress, and reporting on key milestones.
Collaborate with the CTO and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project success.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to R&D activities, including project plans, reports, and regulatory compliance documents.
Manage budget tracking and financial reporting for the R&D Center.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in research and development to inform operational strategies.
What will you bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical is preferred), Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within an R&D environment.
Proven experience in team management and project coordination.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, being able to build positive relationships with different stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance requirements for the chemical industry is a plus.
Knowledge of laboratory operations and regulatory requirements is a plus.
