We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Operations Coordinator to join Lifthium's Technology Center in Coimbra. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our laboratory and operations teams. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, coordinating project activities, and facilitating communication across teams. You will work closely with the scale-up team, HSE, Engineering and Project teams to support innovative projects and drive operational excellence.What will you do:Team Management:Oversee and manage the Lab Team and Operations Team, ensuring alignment with R&D objectivesFoster a collaborative and innovative work cultureEnsure clear communication and coordination between areasOrganize the team's workflows and schedulesCoordinate technical training for the team membersOperational Coordination:Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity and optimize workflowsCoordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment and facilities are in optimal condition. Manage resources, including laboratory equipment and suppliesMonitor project timelines and deliverables, ensuring all activities are completed on schedule and within budgetCoordinate with HSE to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standardsProject Management:Assist in planning and executing R&D projects, tracking progress, and reporting on key milestonesCollaborate with the CTO and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverablesIdentify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project successMaintain accurate records and documentation related to R&D activities, including project plans, reports, and regulatory compliance documentsManage budget tracking and financial reporting for the R&D CenterContinuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiencyStay updated on industry trends and advancements in research and development to inform operational strategies.RequirementsWhat will you bring:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical is preferred), Business Administration or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within an R&D environmentProven experience in team management and project coordinationStrong communication and interpersonal skills, being able to build positive relationships with different stakeholdersStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesFamiliarity with health and safety regulations and compliance requirements for the chemical industry is a plusKnowledge of laboratory operations and regulatory requirements is a plusBenefitsAt Lifthium, you will have the opportunity to build something from the start, contributing to a more sustainable future.
