Main Function & Scope
As a member of the Asset Excellence department, the Operational Project Delivery Manager ("OPDM") leads a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators to safely deliver asset optimisation solutions across the portfolio, and to provide programme management support for strategic asset optimisation concepts from design to asset execution. This role will initially focus on the delivery of advanced aerodynamic upgrades in existing wind farms across Portugal, Spain, France, and the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering Project Management, the OPDM will utilise Project Management knowledge and experience, working closely with the wider Asset Excellence teams, Development, HSQE, Asset Management teams, contractors, and OEMs, to lead and oversee the safe delivery of projects to budget and schedule.
The role holder will be responsible for direct line management of a team of Project Managers and their Project Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities
Programme Management
Working closely with the wider Asset Excellence department, programme manage strategic initiatives:
Develop and maintain comprehensive programme plans, including timelines, resources, budgets, and risk management strategies.
Coordinate multiple projects within the programme to ensure they are aligned and progressing towards the overall programme objectives.
Identify, assess, and manage risks across the programme.
Track programme performance, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders and Strategic PMO.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by organising lessons learnt sessions, implementing best practices, and continuously seeking ways to enhance programme performance and outcomes.
Project Pre-Execution
Leading a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators to prepare for the safe execution of projects:
Lead the project delivery team in resolving pre-execution actions, coordinating procurement activities, and taking overall responsibility for pre-execution onsite activities.
Establish processes to ensure mitigation of execution stage risk.
Promote robust stakeholder engagement to ensure that operational and HSE requirements are captured in specifications and contracts.
Define and implement deployment strategy.
Coordinate Procurement project resources and engineering teams in tendering processes.
Guide team in project-specific budget development, and support business case approval.
Project Execution
Oversee the safe delivery of projects to time and budget:
Support and develop a team of Project Managers.
Maintain overall control of the programme of projects delivery.
Overall accountability for managing both onsite and offsite contractors and suppliers against agreed contracts.
Ensure efficient relationship and interface management between external and internal stakeholders.
Maintain full oversight of project budgets, claims, variations, and payments.
Ensure continuous compliance with relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and legislation.
