Offer Description The project is funded by A*midex and ANR under the "Initiative d'Excellence d'Aix-Marseille Université" and will be based at Marseille Medical Genetics (MMG) department of Aix-Marseille University (Faculté de Médecine, 27 Bd Jean Moulin, 13385 Marseille, France). The aim of the research will be the development of advanced human preclinical models of skeletal muscle tissue to study neuromuscular diseases. The candidate will work in an interdisciplinary environment, dealing with a wide range of techniques involving cellular and molecular biology, 3D bioprinting, computer programming, CAD design, 3D printing, and microscopy. Once developed, the preclinical models will be validated for their reliability in reproducing the studied disease pathophysiology through imaging, molecular and functional analyses. The candidate must independently carry out technology development, biotechnological systems development, biological experiments, and critical data analysis. The candidate will also be expected to write scientific papers (scientific articles, reports, and abstracts) and present the results at national and international conferences.

The candidate must hold a PhD (or have defended their doctoral thesis by the start date) in biology, biomedical sciences, bioengineering, or related disciplines.
