The main objective of an O&M Bid/Tender Engineer is to develop competitive and comprehensive bids for energy projects (PV, BESS and others), focusing on the long-term operation and maintenance phases. This role aims to secure contracts by accurately assessing project requirements, pricing, and operational demands, ensuring proposals meet technical, financial, and regulatory standards. The position plays a critical role in bridging the gap between client expectations and the operational capabilities of the company, thereby supporting the company's growth and ensuring profitability.
Main responsibilities (not limited):
Lead bids and proposal activities from the issuance of the RFP (Request for Proposal) to project handover;
Challenge the technical and commercial inputs with support of existing benchmarks, experience, and industry standards;
Present technical offers, review and authorize clarification requests, and support the Bid and Sales Manager;
Interact with a multi-disciplinary team (sales, engineering, field services and legal);
Manage internal stakeholders, support, inform and influence key players to achieve objectives;
Build costing model and budget by gathering inputs for technical team from multi-disciplinary contributors;
Support in the preparation of RFQ (Request for Quotation);
Supporting during contract negotiation;
Maintain and uphold the highest confidentiality level of sensitive information both internally and externally.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have:
BS/ MS in Engineering or other engineering degree;
At least 10 years working experience and 5 years in tendering;
Experience in the energy sector is a plus;
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel particularly;
English and Spanish proficiency.
