No Offer Description NOTICE FOR POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIP (1 position) Resume: A tender is open for the attribution of a Postdoctoral Scholarship by holders of a PhD degree within the scope of the project HORIZON-CL6-2023-GOVERNANCE-01-101134200, FORSAID- Forest surveillance with artificial intelligence and digital technologies, taking place at Forest Research Center (CEF), of the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, financed by HORIZON European Union, to develop the following tasks: monitoring tree disease using ground surveillance technologies, use machine learning for plant disease identification, mapping forest damage at stand level using remote sensing, under the following conditions: 1. TYPE, DURATION OF THE SCHOLARSHIPS and EXPECTED BEGINNING PERIOD OF THE SCHOLARSHIP The tender is intended for the attribution of a Postdoctoral Scholarship of Post-Doc, for a length of 12 months, renewable up to a maximum of 36 months, scheduled to start in October 2024. 2. WORK PLAN AND WORKPLACE : Work plan: Monitoring plants under different treatments and pathologies, in the laboratory and in the field. Collection of spectral information (NIR). Development of algorithms for the early detection of diseases through automatic learning. The work will be developed at the Forest Research Center (CEF) of the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, Tapada da Ajuda 1349-017 Lisboa, under the supervision of Manuel Campagnolo, Manuela Branco and José Carlos Rodrigues. 3.
