Endpoint Solutions – Endpoint Virtual Environments (EVE) Engineer MAIN PURPOSE In your role as Endpoint Virtual Environments Engineer, you represent the Group Technology department as a member of the Network & Systems Management – Endpoint Solutions team. You will play a central role in the EVE engineering activities of the department. This will include but are not limited to: project participation and implementation, change execution, general enhancements and platform implementation requests, incident handling support and troubleshooting, together with the associated monitoring of these platforms.
You will work as the first line of response for all L3 Operational issues worldwide within the EVE scope, either those that are identified by the central teams or the Local worldwide IT Support teams. Generally, as part of your overall accountability, you are responsible for the health, operational stability and innovation of the provided services and technologies within our scope.
In this context, you will work within the EPS-EVE team and transversely across the wider remit of Group Technology.
You report to the EVE Team Lead.
SKILL & COMPETENCIES Min. 5 years of experience as an IT System Engineer
Responsibilities Leverage experience with Citrix to setup and maintain virtual desktops and virtual apps in AWSDeploy and lifecycle of gold images with an as code approach through DevOps scripting toolsTroubleshooting, problem tracking, root-cause analysis, may engage with vendor supportDetect trends in technical issues, develops recommendations for long-term improvementsCommunicates status of issue and resolution to internal customersDrives innovation within the platform scope, ensuring solutions are not tied to a specific vendor and align with strategic objectivesSkills Technical Scope
Citrix, Virtual Desktops and Apps, Citrix Cloud mandatory. Experience in global environment or large environments an advantage.
