Description
As a Network Planning & Optimization consultant, your day-by-day goal will be to improve overall network performance to our customers. Your key activities will be, including but not limited to:
Planning and optimization activities for all generation of mobile networks (2G up to 5G);
Able to solicit and share recommendations on features and parameters based on global market deployments.
Strong understanding of 5G NSA/SA and LTE end-to-end;
Cluster tuning and optimization to achieve the target KPI;
KPI Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting;
KPI and Parameter mapping for multi-vendor projects;
Day by day knowledge leverage within the team & technical workshop creation as part of our knowledge share best practices.
Your Profile
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or similar;
7 years or more planning engineering experience;
Deep knowledge about planning networks with proven practice experience;
Mobility & Load Balancing strategy implementation;
Expert level in Radio Access Networks 2G/3G/4G/5G NSA and SA;
Experience on configuration, troubleshooting of planning technical problems;
Knowledge/experience of Nokia equipment mandatory.
Must Have
Degree in Telecommunications Engineer or similar;
Strong understanding of Nokia 5G NSA/SA and LTE end to end;
Proven experience with Nokia 5G NSA/SA deployments from global markets for mobile and fixed wireless, with a main focus of improving the performance and user experience;
5G NSA/SA experience with Nokia TDD and FDD NR;
In-depth understanding of Nokia 5G NSA/SA and LTE Features and parameters and practical experience in leveraging Nokia features for layering, load balancing and KPI improvement for 5G and LTE;
Ability to analyze network, identify LTE/5G features for trial for KPI improvement;
Present Feature overview to customer SMEs and agree on next steps and handle the E2E lifecycle of feature activation and rollout;
Able to conduct a complex analysis using NPO tools such as EMIL, TTI traces, Actix, NetAct and truecall to resolve degradations on real time;
Ability to analyze internal syslogs, eNB/gNB logs (EMIL/DCAP/TTI) for quick troubleshooting and issue resolution for lab or field activities;
Expertise with UE and eNB/gNB signaling log analysis (UU, X2, S1 signaling);
Proficiency and previous experience using UE logging tools such as QXDM, XCAL/XCAP, Actix or equivalent;
Access to R&D and global teams' resources for technical consultation on all aspects of 5G;
Able to solicit and share recommendations on features and parameters based on global market deployments;
Ability to communicate effectively with internal team as well as customer engineering teams. Must have excellent presentation skills and be able to communicate/explain technical content to customer teams;
English knowledge is mandatory.
Nice To Have
Multi-vendor knowledge is a plus (Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia);
Knowledge in Open-Ran protocols is a plus;
Knowledge in BI, Data Processing, SQL and Scripting (ex: python) is a plus.
