Offer Description This thesis is part of the PEPR-TASE programme, specifically the DC-Architect project, which aims to study medium-voltage continuous networks (MVDC) and their contribution to future electricity distribution.
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of including DC part types in an existing MV distribution network, based on several identified case studies in the literature. This thesis complements ongoing work in the DC-Architect project, particularly in WP1.

Candidate Requirements The candidate must have knowledge of electrical networks and their operation. Skills in power electronics systems, system modelling, and control are essential. The candidate should demonstrate autonomy, curiosity, and a capacity for innovation. Good communication skills are necessary for presenting work and collaborating with other PhD students and lecturers within the PEPR Tase framework. A good level of English is required, as most publications are in this language.
