Currently, we are looking for a Mid Payroll Program Manager who will join our global Payroll team!
What you will be doing
Conduct payroll processing for multiple countries to ensure adds, changes, and separations are accurately reflected.
Serve as a point of contact for leaders and employees for time and attendance and payroll; use knowledge of best practices to provide resolution and follow-up to payroll inquiries; assist other payroll personnel with complex issues.
Ensure integrity and accuracy of payroll data and compliance with all government requirements.
Modify existing and create new ad hoc and scheduled reporting.
Process new hires, employee changes, and separations in HCM system; identify and resolve conflicting and/or erroneous information.
Ensure accurate pay calculations and benefit deductions for all employees, including special situations such as new promoted, transferred, or terminated employees.
Administer any irregular payments such as incentives, bonuses, commissions, disability, or other company benefits; administer garnishments and serve as primary contact with agencies and law firms.
Obtain and track necessary registrations for withholding and unemployment; work directly with vendors and provide guidance and information.
Assist with the review and performance evaluation of technologies; including but not limited to new HCM modules, new releases, new integrations, and new systems.
Responsible for liaising with appropriate vendors and agencies regarding payroll tax administration and auditing, ensuring accuracy of all filings.
What will make you successful
Good command of English; at least B2 level .
Experience supporting employees across multiple countries (ideally Portugal or other EMEA countries/UK/South Africa) .
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Demonstrated understanding of payroll administration fundamentals .
Demonstrated understanding of payroll tax and compliance fundamentals .
Proficient in the use of a variety of payroll and HR systems .
Expertise in Excel for data management, reporting, and automation.
Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact.
Good organizational, multi-tasking , and time management skills.
Good collaboration skills applied successfully within the team as well as with other areas.
Good facilitation and project management skills.
Good interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of the department.
Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion with oversight.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Good attention to detail.
Good ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact.
Nice to have:
Good command of Portuguese; B2 level preferred .
Experience with Workday platform.
