About the role
Our DT/MES team, composed of 8 people, is integrated in the Digital Manufacturing department of the Digital Technology (DT) service and focuses on MES systems in collaboration with several stakeholders within DT; Industrial streams; Global Business Units and our key software editors.
As an MES Design & Support Engineer, you will work on MES related systems such as Aspen MES and AVEVA PI to support MES users; adapt and customize applications; and ensure seamless system rollouts across multiple sites.
Responsibilities:
System Design & Support: Design, install, configure, manage, monitor, and support MES server and client software, ensuring smooth data flow through firewalls.
System Upgrades & Documentation: Recommend system upgrades, patches, and new applications, while maintaining comprehensive documentation of MES systems, including applications and network architecture.
Training & Guidance: Provide training on PI and Aspen MES systems to end users and support IT team members with technology applications and best practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, analysts, and system administrators to meet clients' needs and ensure successful project delivery.
Security & Compliance: Conduct system assessments to define security protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Technical Support: Use ITSM tools (e.g., BMC Helix) for ticket management, providing 2nd/3rd level support for MES desktop and server issues. Escalate complex problems as needed.
Proactive Monitoring: Monitor systems to detect issues promptly and contribute to the knowledge base by documenting solutions.
We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode in Europe, preferably near Lyon, France.
About you
Relevant education degree in Engineering or equivalent university degree.
Relevant work experience in industries with Aspen MES (Aspen Manufacturing Suite).
Experience with Aspen MES is a must. Knowledge of AVEVA PI is a valuable asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation, TCP/IP and UDP/IP networks, Basic Microsoft Active Directory knowledge, Microsoft SQL Server and Excel.

About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the France base pay reasonably expected for this role is 53000€ to 70000€, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
