We are currently seeking a dynamic M&A Analyst .
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Development, as an M&A Analyst at Critical Software, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mergers and acquisitions activities. You will be responsible for conducting market research, identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets, as well as conducting detailed financial analyses and supporting due diligence that will support corporate development activities.
What do we expect from you?
Financial Analysis: Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate potential M&A opportunities. Analyze financial statements, perform valuations, and assess the financial impact of potential deals.
Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential acquisition targets. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
Due Diligence: Assist in the due diligence process by gathering and analyzing data on target companies. Evaluate business operations, financial performance, and strategic fit.
Deal Execution: Support the execution of M&A transactions, including preparing investment memos, coordinating with legal and financial advisors, and assisting in negotiations.
Integration Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integration plans for acquired companies. Monitor post-acquisition performance and provide ongoing support to ensure successful integration.
Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and stakeholders. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.
What makes you a good candidate for this role?
Education: Master's degree (or MBA) in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to synthesize complex information and provide actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in German is a plus.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to take on new challenges and adapt to changing priorities.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the software and technology industry.
