Job Summary Position responsible for direction, management, development and organization of the Medical Staff Services Department. This position manages and directs the Medical Staff Assistant. The position provides administrative support to the organized Medical Staff, officers of the Medical Staff and Administration of Memorial Hermann. Medical Staff Office, in this context, is considered to be working in a Hospital or Healthcare Facility with physicians and medical staff to provide administrative support to the Medical Staff Department. Ideal applicant will need to have experience in credentialing, exceptional Microsoft Office skills, ability to take notes during meetings resulting in a final set of minutes, data entry skills, excellent communication skills, excellent organizational skills and must be able to maintain confidentiality. Hours: Hours could vary between 6:00am-7:00pm. We are looking for someone that can be flexible with the schedule. Location: Texas Medical Center Work Environment: This position would mainly work in the office but may have some flexibility to work remotely. Benefits: Benefits start day one. Job Description Minimum Qualifications Education: Associates Degree in Medical Staff Services or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Licenses/Certifications: (None) Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Three (3) years in a Medical Staff office with progressive responsibilities Excellent organizational and communication skills and effective meeting management skills Proficient in the use of multiple software programs including but not limited to: MS Office and desktop publishing Principal Accountabilities Directs and supervises the activities of the Medical Staff Assistant, including hiring, training, assigning work, counseling, timely distribution of monthly mailings to the medical staff, ER Call Schedules and other communications to the medical staff, as well as the coordination of CME offerings
