RoleAs a Medical Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the medical strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering relationships with healthcare professionals. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and leadership skills to drive the success of our medical initiatives. The role is based in Lisbon. SOMAÍ facility and office are based in Carregado, 35 minutes outside Lisbon by car.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the global medical strategy and tactical plan in alignment with business goals, ensuring that it reflects the latest scientific and medical advancements in medical cannabis.Interpret key relevant scientific data, identify unmet medical, educational and research needs within the medical community.Provide medical input direction to the development of impactful scientific and medical education messages and materials using medical expertise, customer insights and understanding of launch strategies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate medical insights into overall business strategies.Develop external relationships with relevant medical groups and key stakeholders.KOL mapping and engagement plan (advisory board; expert meetings; publications).Provide medical evaluation and approval for promotional and educational materials.Develop publication strategy and plan.Conduct medical education activities (incl. CME).Participate in events/congresses/symposia.Provide MSL/medical training.Conduct medical training of commercial colleagues.Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to optimize educational and research support for clinical trials.Collaborate with R&D and product development teams for the medical evaluation of products and new opportunities.Identify and implement high impact medical research projects: Real world evidence studies, patient reported outcomes and other outcome research studies to support business objectives.Requirements3-5 years of previous experience as a Medical Affairs Advisor in a pharmaceutical company.Previous experience as Medical Affairs Advisor/Manager in the Medical cannabis field.Regional or global experience is a plus.Ability to search, identify, and analyze scientific publications.Strong communication and networking skills (internal and external).Education: medical (preferred) or scientific degree (Pharmacy, Biology, Medicine).
