What will this role achieve? As leaders in our industry, we provide transport solutions for the UK&I Region of pladis and work as a 3rd party distributor for key customers. It is therefore essential that we maintain our high standards. Drivers must operate legally, safely, and ensure they portray a smart image, as they are the most direct contact with our customers.
What will be your key deliverables? Provide a professional, consistent, and timely driving service for pladis.Undertake vehicle checks prior to leaving the depot and where needed at 3rd party locations. Refuel, wash, and report any defects on return to site.Complete all relevant documentation as required, e.g. delivery notes, pallet notes, offload notes, defect reports.Communicate any delays, rejected orders, discrepancies to the confirmations department.Comply with legislation concerning drivers' hours and vehicle maintenance to ensure operations conform to O licence requirements.Drive in a professional manner, complying with the highway code and with due regard to the safety of self and others in order to minimise accidents and vehicle damage and to promote a professional company image.Report all accidents and near misses.Maintain the security of the vehicle and load at all times.Undertake shunting duties at factories and on-site as required.Bring your experience You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well in a team, have great fault-finding and problem-solving skills along with a real flair for working with equipment. You will have a track record of improving quality and efficiency, be good at working with your hands, and have a great eye for detail.
No previous experience required; all training will be provided.
Shift Pattern This is a flexi-shift role comprised of days and nights.
