Key Responsibilities Work on the technical distribution of the video content across the global video network, ensuring content is prepared and available as per internal schedules.
Oversee live video broadcasts, including signal routing, timing, line-up configurations, and video/audio specification checks.
Continuously monitor video and audio signals to uphold the highest quality standards.
Perform quality control (QC) and troubleshoot any issues with live content to maintain broadcast integrity.
Operate and maintain a variety of broadcast equipment essential for video encoding and delivery, including satellite downlink and IP workflows.
Act as the first point of escalation for technical issues, coordinating with third-party suppliers when necessary to resolve complex faults.
React quickly to technical emergencies, implementing immediate solutions or escalating issues to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted transmission.
Keep comprehensive records of broadcast activities, including technical configurations, incident reports, and performance metrics.
Work closely with Video Engineers, Scheduling/Planning teams, and Live Monitoring staff to coordinate and execute live broadcasts smoothly.
Requirements Proven ability to work efficiently under high-pressure conditions.
Ability to manage daily workloads and collaborate with team members effectively.
Basic knowledge of broadcast procedures and processes.
Experience in quality control (QC) of live operations and troubleshooting technical issues is a big advantage.
Strong attention to detail with reporting and documentation of technical issues.
Ideally to be familiar with satellite delivery systems, decrypting, and decoding.
Prior experience with broadcast equipment and operations in a busy, deadline-driven environment is a big plus.
Knowledge of IP video workflows and downlink satellite systems can make the job easier for you.
