We are looking for a well-qualified and talented teacher of Mathematics to join our team in August 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspire and Motivate Students: Build trust and confidence with students, colleagues, and parents, and engage students to foster a love for learning mathematics.
Deliver Quality Instruction: Plan and deliver effective lessons aligned with GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP curricula, ensuring high standards of student learning.
Differentiation: Support individual learning needs through tailored lessons and strategies, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
Classroom Management: Maintain high levels of behaviour and discipline, creating a positive and productive learning environment.
Utilize Assessments: Use formative and summative assessments to monitor and advance student progress, ensuring they meet challenging academic targets.
Engage in Professional Development: Continuously strive to improve teaching methods by participating in ongoing professional development and applying best practices.
Incorporate Technology: Use modern technology to enhance learning opportunities, making lessons engaging and interactive.
Contribute to School Improvement: Participate in school development planning, aligning teaching with the school's wider goals and contributing to its academic success.
Pastoral Support: Promote the well-being and progress of individual students and tutor groups, addressing their academic and personal needs.
Participate in Extracurricular Activities: Support the school's extracurricular initiatives by engaging in trips, clubs, and other school-wide events that contribute to students' holistic development.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field, along with a valid teaching qualification (such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level, with familiarity in GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP curricula.
Strong ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a passion for mathematics and academic success.
Excellent classroom management skills, ensuring high standards of behaviour and a productive learning environment.
Proficiency in using modern technology to enhance student learning and engagement.
The ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring inclusivity in the classroom.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students, promoting a positive school environment.
A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on educational best practices and curriculum developments.
A proactive approach to pastoral care, with a commitment to promoting student well-being and supporting personal development.
