As Management Accountant for Portugal, you will be responsible for an office important to the Groups profitability, 3-year plan and revenue in excess of £1m.You will help set local targets, budgets and forecasts and support the local board to create and maintain their financial plans, with a strong commercial focus and mind-set and be comfortable communicating with external parties.You will be comfortable challenging as and when appropriate and deliver all management information to the teams in a timely and proactive manner which you will clearly articulate locally and at Group level.Main dutiesProduction of management accounts and financial statements (in line with timetable)Quarterly forecasting and annual 3-year plan creationContribute to the company financial strategy and decision-making process and ensure alignment tooDeliver insightful market, operational and pricing (internal and external) analysis and proposals to challenge the current way of workingManage the audit process and liaise with any external personnelEnsuring robust financial systems and processes are in placeRecommend improvements to existing financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)Ideal CandidateProfessionally qualified accountant (CPA/CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CC preferred) or qualified by experienceExcellent communicator, with both internal and external colleagues at all levelsHard-working, efficient, resilient and motivated by resultsThe candidate will also need to support the Sovereign Group Mission, Vision, Values & Goals:Mission = Listening.
