.Job Overview BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual to join as a Maintenance Technician at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal. Key Accountabilities: Provide technical assistance (product; factory; department) on mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic equipment, programming, robotics, laser equipment, traceability, etc. Technically assist the reception of new equipment (installation, validation and start-up). Perform diagnostics, maintenance (preventive and corrective). Perform maintenance services (corrective, preventive, predictive/inspection, activity/system optimization), repair, replacements and adjustments in general, according to law DL 50/2005. Perform preventive maintenance of equipment according to specific activities for each type of preventive. Test the equipment, whenever possible, before and after interventions and take corrective actions, if necessary, as well as recommendations that can prevent recurrence of defects and enable better equipment performance. Diagnose the causes of defects and take the necessary corrective actions. Ensure the maintenance, cleaning, conservation, storage and control of all material, appliances, and equipment. Ensure documentation of maintenance, improvement activities. Guide operators on the proper use of equipment. Support and implement production techniques developed in the organization (Visual Support, 5S etc.). Lead and participate in problem-solving activities. Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality and productivity standards. Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, Practice and Schedule. Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules. Respect and comply with environmental policy rules. Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service. Education & Experience Specialized training in mechanics, electromechanics, electronics, industrial maintenance, automation, programming, robotics, laser, traceability, or similar area. Previous experience in a similar role will be valued. Problem Solving (5W; Ishikawa; PDCA; 8D) (preferred). Solid knowledge of the operation of machines (mechanics, pneumatics, electronics, electricity, etc.), and/or test equipment. Interpretation of machine and electrical schematics. Knowledge of automotive industry standards. Computer knowledge from user's perspective. Knowledge in the context of in-line production and testing in the automotive industry (valued). Conflict Management. Ability to make decisions. Results orientation. Interpersonal Communication. Technical/Functional Skills. Fluent in English. Availability to have training abroad Portugal
