Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will lead a team of 17 employees on 2 sites and will be responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical and robotic equipment (including software programming), as well as people management and budgetary/cost reporting. The main responsibilities will include:
Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.Plan scheduling and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.Increase the site operational effectiveness: o Manage and implement improvement plans;
o Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI's);
o Improve project delivery, mean time between failures and reduce downtime;
o Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.Mentor and lead the Maintenance department.Manage the team on technical best practices.Establish standard policies and procedures.Requirements You hold a manufacturing/engineering degree or equivalent and completed a fully indentured apprenticeship with a mechanical/ electrical/ electronic discipline.You have extensive plant level experience with significant proven management experience.You demonstrate strong technical capabilities and understanding.You show great knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and lean manufacturing.You have experience in managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance.You show a great understanding of TS16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.You demonstrate a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.You demonstrate excellent interpersonal, leadership, planning, and organizational skills.You are fluent in written and spoken English.Why join our team?
