Machine Learning Engineer

Degas is an AI tech company focused on increasing the income of smallholder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa through data aggregation, AI credit scoring, satellite observations, and smallholder farmer financing. Degas provides farmers with a full range of tools to enable productive and lucrative farming while showcasing their potential with technology. This is a full-time remote role for a Machine Learning Engineer. The Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a large scale machine learning training/inference platform and MLOps system. The Machine Learning Engineer will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of these systems to accelerate our model developments. Qualifications: Proficiency in Algorithms Experience with Python and its libraries for machine learning (PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras) (more than 5 years) Experience with distributed training frameworks, such as Pytorch DDP, Megatoron or DeepSpeed (more than 3 years) Strong knowledge of Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks Strong knowledge of Cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure etc) (more than 3 years) Strong problem-solving skills Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Ability to work independently and remotely Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field #J-18808-Ljbffr
