About the role
As an LQA Lead you will manage the linguistic quality assurance, ensuring translations are accurate, culturally relevant, and consistent with the brand's tone. You will be coordinating with the PM and LQA Tester to meet project deadlines and uphold high quality standards. Responsibilities include monitoring content quality, tracking and resolving localization issues, and improving LQA processes and tools. Additionally, the LQA Lead provides feedback and training to testers and prepares reports to keep stakeholders informed on project progress and quality metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage LQA Testing : Oversee all aspects of linguistic quality testing, ensuring that the output meets high standards for accuracy, cultural relevance, and tone.
Coordinate with Teams : Work closely with PM and LQA Tester to streamline the LQA process and resolve issues quickly.
Resource Management : Assign and manage LQA testers, both in-house and external, to meet project deadlines and quality goals.
Quality Control : Review and monitor the quality of localized content across all languages, maintaining consistency and adherence to style guides.
Issue Tracking : Identify, document, and track localization issues, coordinating with relevant teams for fixes.
Process Improvement : Develop and refine LQA processes, tools, and guidelines to improve efficiency and quality over time.
Feedback and Training : Provide constructive feedback and training to LQA testers to uphold quality standards across projects.
Reporting : Prepare reports on LQA progress, issue trends, and quality metrics for stakeholders.
Stay Updated : Keep up with industry trends and updates in localization practices and gaming terminology.
Requirements
Experience leading LQA teams (preferable in video games);
C2 fluency in English and another language (certification not required);
Degree in Linguistics, Translation or related fields.
Knowledge of CAT tools (memoQ preferable);
Availability to work on-site (non-remote) from Monday to Friday;
Passion for video games and geek culture.
