Allyn International is looking for a full-time Logistics Specialist in Porto to join our organization! Allyn International is a privately-held professional services firm established in 1992. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing logistics activities in a manner that shall meet business fulfillment requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction. This position shall manage outbound domestic and international logistics for clients, and has the responsibility for collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects, and services, as well as providing logistics support, consulting, and obtaining best possible transportation rates. Responsibilities: Route cargo in accordance with legal and customer requirements. Coordinate the routing process including contract rates and spot quotes, selecting carriers, and tendering cargo, providing carriers, shippers, brokers, consignees all pertinent documents and information. Proactive approach to issue resolution and shipment responsibility. Accurately issue shipping documentation such as certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists, and certificates of insurance. Communicate with freight forwarders, shippers, consignees, clients, and internal team members. Contract External Logistics Service Providers for route & port surveys. Manage transport regulations compliance, including permitting, over-dimensional and hazardous cargo. Maintain online tracking and metrics tools. Track and resolve freight claims.
