We are currently looking for a Logistics Administrator for our Pharma, Health & Durables Division at our Site in Porto/Portugal. As a Logistics / Transportation Administrator, you will play a critical role in optimizing our transportation strategies and carrier partnerships. You will be responsible for analyzing transportation data, managing carrier relationships, and developing metrics to ensure that all operations align with our company's goals and customer delivery standards. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our team. This hybrid role combines administrative responsibilities with logistics expertise, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within our logistics department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor and analyze transportation costs, service levels, and carrier performance metrics.Utilize advanced analytics to forecast trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.Support logistics by providing data and KPI metrics for regular performance reviews with carriers as well as internal metrics.Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.Prepare detailed reports and presentations on logistics performance for management.Assist operations team in developing and maintaining strong relationships with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective logistics solutions.Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to continually improve logistics operations.Collaborate with internal teams (supply chain, warehousing, sales) to integrate logistics with company processes and ensure seamless operations.Assist the logistics team with domestic transportation and import/export operations including customs clearance, load building/dispatching, track & trace, document preparation & reconciliation.Assist the Logistics team in the creation, processing, and maintaining of various logistics reports as needed (weekly, monthly, quarterly).Must possess a basic understanding of logistics and transportation methods/modes, cost structures, service requirements, tariffs, accessorial charges, equipment, and infrastructure.Assist in the development of sustainable cost-effective solutions that leverage KP's inbound and outbound volume, systems, and partnerships.Adhere to existing processes and procedures to ensure daily execution of logistics policies, operating standards, and service level agreements.Ability to identify problems, recommend, and execute creative/innovative solutions.Familiarity with continuous improvement concepts.Work closely with other departments to deliver outstanding service and support the programs/initiatives that drive our company's business objectives.Identify and prioritize logistics needs, partnering with the logistics team to communicate recommendations to management in order to achieve a holistic, efficient and effective end-to-end product distribution model.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree preferred; Operations or Business Administration or related field.1-3 years of experience in Logistics/Transportation/Distribution/Import & Export preferred.Understanding of supply chain (logistics/transportation/warehousing).Technical, analytical skills, and business knowledge.Communication and interpersonal skills.TMS/ERP experience preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint.Knowledge of transportation and warehousing operations.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Language: Bi-lingual German & English; written and verbal highly desirable.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
