Job Summary Keyrus is looking for a Linux Support Engineer. We value individuals who are detail-oriented, independent contributors with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, ensuring that together, we continue to transform possibilities into reality.
This position is Hybrid in Porto (3 days/week at the office) and it will be necessary to work shifts. Note: All applications/CVs must be submitted in English. Key Responsibilities Provide L1 technical support for Linux-based applications, identifying and resolving system issues.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using Linux command lines and tools.Assist with application deployments, updates, and maintenance on Linux servers.Perform routine system checks and manage user access, permissions, and storage.Collaborate with the technical team to escalate complex issues and provide solutions.Support basic network operations and troubleshoot connectivity issues (DNS, IP, TCP, UDP).Write and execute shell scripts to automate recurring tasks.Provide timely responses and updates to service requests and incidents.Document troubleshooting processes and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients in English, ensuring clear understanding of technical issues.Requirements Proficiency with basic Linux command lines (Top, htop, ls, rm, etc.).Experience with shell scripting (Bash or similar).Familiarity with L1 support processes, including ticketing systems and troubleshooting.Basic understanding of networking protocols (DNS, IP, TCP, UDP).Knowledge of file systems, storage management, and backup strategies.Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or hold a valid work permit for Portugal.Availability to work 3 days/week at the office in Porto.It will be necessary to work shifts.Nice to Have Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or virtualization tools.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or similar.Understanding of security best practices for Linux environments.Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic IT support environment.What we offer at Keyrus Portugal: Competitive salary based on your skills & experience and according to the Data market practice.Meal allowance of €8.32 per day.Flexible benefits option.Private Medical Insurance.22 days of annual leave (increasing every 3 years up to a maximum of 25 days).Training Program through KLX (Keyrus Learning Experience) Platform.Why Keyrus?
