You will help to improve the day-to-day activities by driving efficiency and effectiveness, working in close collaboration with the Global CLO Operations and the Global CLO organization.Your day at FerringCLO Department Financial Management: Partner with the Finance team on CLO departmental financial management to help produce CLO budgets, forecasts, and financial reports that present a valid and accurate picture of the CLO team spend.Create analytics on spend, budgeting, and forecasts, assisting other members of the CLO operations team with analytics and financial KPIs as needed.Data and Analytics – Legal Services Financials: Provide the CLO team leaders with insight into their law firm and related legal services spend using data analytics and metrics to help develop data-driven budgets and forecasting for legal matters.Partner with the Legal Data Scientist and the eBilling system owner to capture and use data to tell a story that non-technical colleagues will understand, including packaging and presenting findings.Legal Services Spend Optimization:Partner with the eBilling system owner to provide overall legal services spend analysis, including benchmarking, timekeeper analysis, matter spend analysis and recommendations, while helping identify inefficient processes and bottlenecks that increase costs and resource utilization for the CLO team, and opportunities to optimize our legal services spend.Legal Services Accruals:Prepare the monthly and annual legal services accrual, using the Brightflag eBilling tool, input with the eBilling lead, and data from interactions with our legal services providersProvide analytics on key matters, such as litigation and BD, uniting the accruals and actual spendProcess Improvement: Collaborate with members of the CLO team and business partners to continuously seek out and help with process improvement initiatives that further the implementation of the CLO Services ModelEmbrace and implement opportunities to rethink how services are provided, focusing internal expertise on complex, high value matters, and automating, streamlining, or outsourcing high-volume, lower complexity matters, and using data to drive continuous improvement in servicesGlobal Legal Operations: Partner with the Global Legal Operations team on additional projects and initiativesCollaborate and participate in industry conferences, benchmarking, networking, to provide recommendations on best practice and latest advancements.
