ResponsibilitiesInvestigate blade related failures reported from turbines in field by collaborating with site technicians and design engineersGuide and participate in root-cause analysis and identify impact on fleetTranslating the nature of detected blade failures to into solutions preventing re-occurrence of the failure within VestasIdentify short and long-term actions to reduce effect of failureInitiate creation of necessary design change orders and the update of DFMEAsDialogue and alignment with affected stakeholders, Factory or supplier of blades, module owners, Service, and Construction, finance etc QualificationsThe most important thing is that you know how a wind turbine functions and have proficiency in solving issues of complex technical nature.
Other important qualifications for success in this job are:
Bachelor's or master's degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience from the wind industry is valuableExperience in with DMAIC improvement cycle, 6-SigmaHigh level of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Familiarity with Engineering Change Management and Continuous Improvement Management CompetenciesGoal-oriented, target focused, willingness to manage tasksThe ability to handle multiple projects and activities simultaneouslyThe ability to work in a time-sensitive situation with a pragmatic approachGood communication skills both verbal & writtenGood analytical/investigative skills are requiredHave a structured approach and able to break down complex technical problems to specific action plansGood English communication skills, both written and spokenCross engineering experience and understanding is valuableUsage of CAD viewer tools and SAP What we offerWe offer a job with great opportunities for professional and personal development in a diverse work environment within the energy industry's global partner on sustainable energy solutions.
