About the roleWe are thrilled to announce that we are looking for a Lead – Distribution to join our team. This position can be based in Lisbon (Portugal), Madrid, or Valderas (Spain). This role is responsible for managing the coordination of supply chain activities in Portugal and Spain, ensuring best practices in road, sea, and air transportation to lower costs, minimize safety and security risks, and reduce lead times. The Lead will work closely with Business Management, Supply Chain, Transport Carriers, and Manufacturing teams to be the trusted partner of choice for our customers.
What you will be doingAs the Lead – Distribution, you will manage and coordinate supply chain activities, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the delivery of the Regional Supply Chain Strategy in the Iberian PeninsulaCoordinating the monthly plan with Supply Chain teams, Manufacturing teams, downstream businesses, and third partiesEnsuring compliance with all regional regulationsEstablishing industry-leading safety practices through market intelligenceImproving the efficiency and productivity of warehouse operations and processesEnsuring compliance with regulations for services delivered to specific customersEnhancing stock visibility and traceability, improving picking accuracy, and reducing losses from non-deliveries, wrong deliveries, returns, and service level finesManaging relationships and contracts with transport carriersUtilizing reporting, analytics, and dashboards to oversee carrier performanceDeveloping and meeting defined budgetsFostering a positive work environment through clear accountabilities and supporting the development of the distribution teamAssisting with audit activities within the regionProviding systems, processes, and technical expertise to manage major hazards in the supply chainOverseeing the notification and license process to ensure continuous maintenance of the license to operateWhat you will bringBachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or a business-related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in transportation and warehouse operations managementProven experience in a leadership or management role, with a track record of successfully leading and developing teamsExperience with air, ocean freight, trucking, and distribution service vendorsExperience in explosives and track and trace systems is advantageousStrong negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to build vendor relationshipsFinancial acumen and budgeting experienceHands-on experience with developing and deploying departmental metrics, and monitoring the quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of international logistics networksKnowledge of SAP applications for transportation and warehousingOutstanding communication skillsWhat we offerAs part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
