As part of Vestas Technology & Operations, the Modelling & Analytics, Plant Data team is responsible for the creation and management of products and services related to Vestas Plant Data Offerings. Our accomplished and diverse team of Data Engineers is focused on designing products that facilitate data collection, processing, and storage from thousands of power plants across the world. The team also supports data storage and conducts data analytics on a hybrid data platform setup that supports multiple data applications for our customers.

Responsibilities Perform upstream and downstream impact analysis of complex data flows involving multiple source systems.Contribute actively to the design and delivery of migrating data products from legacy to cloud setup.Facilitate key POCs and mentor team data engineers on technical solutions.Facilitate and contribute to formal code and design reviews.Oversee and contribute to managing operational data products (Level 3 Support).Work with architects, SMEs, business, and product stakeholders in identifying data products and workloads in the legacy warehouse.Participate and co-own product architecture and drive the strategic roadmap for the plant data warehouse.Qualifications Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields is preferred.7+ years of experience in on-prem and cloud data warehousing domains.Strong command of advanced SQL, ELT design patterns, and data flow/workload performance optimization.We envision that you possess experience in designing, building, and maintaining data products within hybrid environments.
Additionally, you should identify with at least one of the following qualifications:
Experience in data workload migration from on-prem to cloud ETL and Data Warehouse.Experience with Azure services, Snowflake, and DBT would be an added advantage.Extensive hands-on data modeling experience in cloud data warehouses and data structures.Experience with SQL Server, SSIS, and SSAS would be a positive factor.Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.Experience with data mesh implementation.Experience with Python, Py-Spark, and Databricks would be a bonus.On an individual capacity, we anticipate that you:
