What You'll do (the role)SummaryTo network with farming and landowning communities to bring new opportunities for PV projects. The Land Acquisition Manager will be responsible for sourcing land lease opportunities in specified regions of Portugal. This responsibility includes identifying quality opportunities with attractive risk adjusted returns and developing and maintaining strong relationships with the farming, administration, and local community.
Duties and responsibilitiesIdentify suitable sites for solar park development and successfully negotiate the lease of land with landowners and agents.Establish relationships with landowners and introducers who have been in receipt of promotional materials from our marketing department through a mixture of cold and warm calling.Manage the lands pipeline through exclusivity into lease agreements involving Development Managers, GIS department, and internal (and external) legal team where necessary.Understand legal property documentation.Manage negotiation and land lease agreements signature processes.Manage (internal and external) Land Prospectors if necessary.Ensure new business opportunities are pursued to their maximum potential.Assist Development Managers by carrying out supporting activities when needed.Understand company strategies and develop business and business practices accordingly.Who we're looking forKnowledgeExcellent communication and negotiation skills required.Understanding of renewables industry, energy and environmental issues in Portugal.Solid understanding of commercial activities.Varied experience in private and public sector, showing adaptability and ability to learn quickly.Experience in wind sector will be an advantage.QualificationsDriving license cat.B.Excellent communications skills both in Portuguese and English.Proficient in MS Office (Advanced skills in MS Excel).Proficiency in Google Earth and GIS tools is mandatory.Advanced skills in working independently or with limited oversight.Advanced skills in solving complex problems.Negotiation skills are welcomed.Why you'll want to work for usOur company is a place where you can be yourself and grow; a place where your ideas and opinions matter.
