STRYPES is looking for new colleagues to join our team as a LabView Engineer.
We are a Dutch-Portuguese software development company, home-based in Lisbon and Porto. We focus on the development of a wide range of innovative embedded software solutions, including embedded Linux, real-time operating systems, and bare-metal applications, while also covering operating systems, board support packages and device driver development. To cover such a wide variety of challenging software development disciplines, we believe that exceptional and highly empowered employees are essential.
We work within a hybrid model, with offices based in Lisbon and Porto. We are happy to hire candidates from any city in Portugal, who would be available to come in office regularly.

Your daily responsibilities include:
Actively engage in innovative machine and equipment construction and system integration.
Participate in the design, characterization, and system integration of new system and test features.
Troubleshoot problems in laboratory equipment.
Communicate with members of your team, customers, and other stakeholders.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
Academic background in Engineering or similar.
Certified LabView Developer certification.
Experience with embedded software.
Knowledge of and experience with physical/electrical measurement techniques and methods.
Experience with the LabVIEW IDE and some of the LabVIEW add-ons, like Real-Time, Reconfigurable I/O (FPGA), Vision, DSC.
Experience with several interface protocols, like RS232, TCPIP, i²C, CAN, etc.
Knowledge about design patterns used within LabVIEW.
Experience with data acquisition and instrument control.
Preferably experienced with NI Teststand.
Proactive attitude, critical thinker, and problem solver.
Motivated individual with the ability to think outside the box.
Good communication skills in English.
Our recruitment process consists of three distinct steps, each designed to assess different aspects of a candidate's qualifications, skills, and alignment with the organization:
Stage 1 - 30-minute conversation with recruiter. Stage 2 - 1-hour technical conversation with members of the engineering team. Stage 3 - 1-hour conversation with Group Lead or CEO.
