Overview
The Salomé – Nanofabrication, Optoelectronics, and Energy Applications – research group is dedicated to upscaling of nanotechnology in energy and optoelectronic devices. The current group portfolio consists of 3 National, 3 European and 2 Industrial service projects in a team of close to 30 researchers. These projects are helping Portugal, Iberia and Europe to incorporate nanotechnology in a multitude of applications and to increase our understanding of nanotechnology. The group interacts with an assortment of partners, from academia to the industry including policy makers and state officials. We foster a collaborative and innovative environment where a team from a diverse background in knowledge and in nationality is encouraged to bring their ideas and expertise to the table. We are looking for a recent MSc to join our group to help us developing thin film solar cells in the Energy Generation (BIPV) project of the R2U Technologies Agenda, under the PRR framework.

Job Duties

Growth and characterisation of thin films;

Solar cell characterisation;

Clean room processing.

Mandatory Qualifications
Education

MSc in Applied Physics, Physics Engineering, Chemistry, Micro and Nano, or any other Engineering relevant field.*

Candidates finishing their Master Degree until December 2024 will still be considered for evaluation.

Experience

Renewable energy systems.

Technical Skills

Micro/nanofabrication experience/know-how;

Solar cells.

Personal Skills

How the Selection Process works
A. Applications eligibility check
