Junior Legal Counsel

About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated legal counsel to join our dynamic team in Lisbon. The ideal candidate will have a commercial & privacy law background, preferably with 2-3 years of experience in a top-tier law firm or Big4.Key Responsibilities:Assist with corporate documentation and maintain the legal department's document database.Help with revisions to company legal templates and various steps within standardization processes.Assist with drafting and reviewing customer contracts, supply contracts, licenses, and other types of legal documents.Monitor data protection matters.Assist in the preparation of applications, reports, and filings, and generally support the legal and compliance teams with various legal, regulatory, and compliance-related tasks.Research specific legal questions and provide direct and commercially relevant summaries.Research and map regulatory requirements and assist in the preparation and implementation of compliance policies.Process and respond to complaints and inquiries.Research and map the regulatory requirements for companies in Portugal to comply with all applicable laws.Assist in the preparation and implementation of compliance policies.Monitor, follow-up, and update the compliance model implemented in Portuguese companies.Qualifications:Experience working in a legal environment, with a background in commercial law preferably at a medium-sized law firm, Big4, or in-house.Familiarity with digital services markets.Employment and privacy law knowledge is highly valued.Interest and motivation, with a willingness to train and work in compliance matters.Strong drafting, research, communication, and organizational skills.Registration as a lawyer with the Portuguese Bar Association is a bonus.Fluency in English and Portuguese; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
