We are looking for a Junior Consultant (m/f/d) to join our consulting team in Aveiro!
Our focus is on European rail network development and innovation in transport and logistics, particularly in intermodal transport and rail freight. In this job, you will be able to work in international projects together with Siemens Mobility colleagues in Hannover.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the delivery of international consulting projects by contributing to the development of optimization strategies and innovative solutions.
Supporting coordination efforts with international project teams and clients, helping to ensure clear communication and alignment with project objectives and requirements.
Contributing to maintaining project quality standards by assisting in identifying potential challenges and proposing solutions to help keep projects on track and within budget.
Participating in preparing proposals and tender documents for consulting projects, working closely with the project team throughout the bidding process.
Supporting the presentation of our solutions and project results to clients, as well as at conferences and trade fairs.
We're looking for someone who has:
Completed a degree in Transportation, Transport Management, or a related field and ideally have some initial professional experience or internships in this area.
A basic understanding of railway systems and freight transport and may have been involved in European studies or consulting projects as part of your studies or early career.
An interest in building a network in the industry, with first experiences in this field being a plus.
Analytical and structured thinking, enabling effective contribution to complex projects.
Proactivity, the ability to work independently, and ownership of tasks without needing close supervision.
Eagerness to learn and a solid foundation in project management principles and analysis techniques.
Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach, as effective communication and collaboration with consortium partners, project teams, stakeholders, and clients are important in this role.
Strong English skills are required to work in an international environment, and additional language skills are a plus.
