Full-time with 39.4 hours per week for tariff employees or 40 hours per week for civil servants (part-time employment may be possible)

Your field of work includes ... Technical and professional responsibility for testing and examining equipment and developing projects to optimize the equipment used in the area of responsibility, in particular communication technology and IT, Independent preparation of documentation, reports, statistical and technical documents, operating instructions and comparable documents, in particular for the continuous evaluation and optimization of systems and equipment examining, advising and participating in policy and committee work in connection with communications monitoring in the police task spectrum participating in and advising on research projects, procurements and planning - including budget planning - in connection with communications surveillance maintenance and care, including operational documentation and expansion/change planning of the systems and technical equipment, including the evaluation stations for end users and the associated data network as well as the measurement technology and technical aids used, the development of information, instructions and training programs for employees of the Berlin Police, in particular end users the development and/or optimization of topic-related software solutions, including programming work the conceptual further development in the field of communication monitoring, including related observations of the market and technical innovation as well as the provision of corresponding consulting services, participation in inter-agency projects, the technical supervision of two other technical employees of the department. Miscellaneous: You also have good and up-to-date knowledge in the following areas
Communication and mobile radio technology, Data transmission networks, practical experience with operating systems (especially Windows and UNIX/LINUX essential), practical experience with IT architectures, in particular servers and networks, database applications, Programming and common programming languages, Internet applications, Data protection law, technical and professional English skills. A structured, independent way of working, ability to work in a team, analytical way of thinking, economic and commercial understanding, negotiating skills, ability to improvise, high physical and mental resilience and commitment are required.
Special feature: In order to perform the duties, you must be willing to work flexible hours, in individual cases also to work nights and weekends, be willing to take on emergency services, (on-call) standby duties, participate in business trips and training courses in Germany, possibly lasting several days, and have unrestricted physical fitness.
